Education

Education
Our therapists are “teachers” – they spend a lot of time educating patients on treatments and procedures, why they work, and what they need to do long after the session. Knowledge is top priority. Our therapists are “students” – they keep up-to-date on the latest research and new treatments and techniques. They frequently attend the educational workshops and are passionate about keeping up with new methodologies in their fields. Continuing education, use of the most advanced treatment techniques, and state-art-of-the art equipment are important aspects of Healing Therapeutics strong commitment to patients and referring professionals. Healing Therapeutics is an evidence based practice – meaning our physical therapists use treatments techniques that are supported by research. In addition, our therapists review and understand the latest science and health news.  (Click here to see the Case Research)

Home Care

We offer Rehabilitation Services in the comfort of your own home. This is ideal for anyone who is home bound or cannot get transportation to one of our local treatment centers and the benefits include flexible scheduling and one-on-one attention in the comfort of your own space. For example, you have hip replacement surgery. And instead of heading to a nursing home for care, you go back home, where a physical therapist helps you recover. And with 78 million baby boomers starting to retire at a rate of 8,000 a day, the demand for in-home care will only increase. This has become a major focus of our practice.

Early Intervention

Healing Therapeutics also offers Early Intervention services for toddlers and infants to help them with proper development. Specifically, these services include evaluating infants and toddlers at various stages of their physical development. This includes manual therapy to build underdeveloped muscles, teaching proper body mechanics to improve a child’s physical development, and designing an individualized treatment program that addresses the child’s specific needs. Dr. Jinete is a specialist in early intervention methods and earned a certificate in Early Intervention in physical therapy.

Speech Therapy

adult-speech-therapy1-300x203At Healing Therapeutics, we offer speech therapy and our therapists are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of speech, voice, and language disorders across all age populations, but mainly children and young adults. They work with people of all ages who are unable to make speech sounds or cannot make them clearly and also who stutter, have fluency and rhythm problems, inappropriate pitch, or harsh voice and speech quality problems. The most widespread and obvious speech disorder is stuttering, often caused by anxiety. The speech therapist sets up a program of speech exercises to reduce the disability, and if necessary, enlists the aid of a psychologist or psychiatrist. Therapists also work with families on treatment techniques to use at home and on how to modify behavior that impedes communication. For the older population we treat, some do need speech therapy as a result of hearing loss, stroke rehab, mental disability, or brain injury.  Also, some of the elderly population we treat need speech therapy as a result of healing loss, stroke, mental disability or brain injury.

Occupational Therapy

Occ TherapyAt Healing Therapeutics, we offer occupational therapy. Occupational therapists help people participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. Occupational therapy focuses on helping a person achieve independence in his or her day-to-day life.
